Mekelle 22/12/2025— The Tigray Disabled Veterans Association (TDVA) continues its commitment to uplifting the lives of its veteran members through substantial financial support tailored to their specific disability categories. In the last five months alone, TDVA has disbursed over 9 million birr to assist 1,800 members, reinforcing its mission to provide economic support and improve living standards.
As a vital component of TDVA’s ongoing efforts, this financial aid is designed to empower veterans and their families, enabling them to tackle everyday challenges and achieve a better life. This initiative is not only a gesture of support but also a step towards fostering independence and self-sufficiency among members.
“Our duty to our veterans extends beyond physical rehabilitation; it is essential to provide them with the means to thrive,” said Ato Berihu Gebretsadkan, TDVA finance head. “This funding ensures that our members can address their needs and contribute positively to their communities.”
Each month, TDVA assesses its members based on the nature and extent of their disabilities, ensuring that the financial assistance is equitable and supportive of their specific situations.
