Mekelle, 19/12/2025 — The Tigray Disabled Veterans Association (TDVA) is making significant strides in promoting the well-being and empowerment of members with Disabilities (PWD) and their families. With a vision to enable full participation and equal opportunities in society, TDVA is committed to guiding individuals through every step of the rehabilitation process.

Over the past five months, TDVA has prioritized the health of its members by covering medical expenses amounting to over 4 million Birr for more than 600 members and their families. This initiative exemplifies the association’s commitment to providing vital support for those in need.

“The rehabilitation process is not just about recovery; it’s about reintegrating individuals into society and ensuring they have equal access to opportunities,” said a member, a representative from TDVA. “We believe that everyone deserves the chance to lead an empowering life, free from barriers.”

The financial support extended by TDVA has proven invaluable, enabling many members to access essential medical treatments that would otherwise be unaffordable. This assistance not only addresses immediate health concerns but also fosters a sense of community and belonging among members and their families.
