Mekele, Tigray Region, [Date] — Established in 2005 by Rainbows4children (R4C), a Swiss and UK foundation, the Nicolas Robinson School (NRS) stands as a testament to the power of education and community support. Founded in memory of Nicolas Robinson, son of Max Robinson, R4C collaborates closely with the Tigray Disabled Veterans’ Association (TDVA) to provide quality education to the children of disabled war veterans from the Ethiopian civil war.
As of 2018 E.C., the school proudly educates 1,250 children of TDVA member veterans, spanning from kindergarten up to college level. NRS has garnered a reputation as one of the best schools in Tigray, boasting well-equipped libraries, laboratories, sports fields, and green spaces that promote both learning and physical development.
“Our aim is not just to provide education but to nurture well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to their communities,” said Mr. Tesfagaber, General manager of NRS. “Working alongside the parents of our students, we are committed to achieving outstanding results in this academic year.”
